Member of the European Parliament Jelko Kacin said he believed that now was the right moment to put extra effort into the establishment of RECOM. “The process of reconciliation is imperative. Regardless of how the work of the Hague Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia is perceived, it is indisputable that regional reconciliation is a precondition for the success of European integration. Only then will the region be able to be reshaped into a potentially more stable and promising market,” Kacin said, stressing that in all of his public statements he persistently emphasized the need for the establishment of RECOM as a regional truth commission.
