In memory of Valerija Canjko, killed on July 10 1995 in Osijek, Human Rights House consisting of B.a.b.e., Centre for Peace Studies, Documenta - Centre for Dealing with the Past, Civic Committee for Human Rights, Dawning (Svitanje) and APEO (The association for promotion of equal opportunities), organized a press conference which meant to appeal to the institutions to address the status and taking adequate measures in the form of compensation to civilian victims of war, as well as launch of a humanitarian campaign to raise funds to help resolve the difficult financial situation of Marija, the mother of murdered Valerija Canjko.
