Appeal for Credibility of Public role of HRT
A three-hour long public hearing regarding appeal for establishing the credibility of public role of Croatian Radio-Television was held today in Zagreb. Appeal was launched by the Croatian Association of Journalists, Human Rights House Zagreb, coordination of media producers and the Croatian Association of Croatian Film Directors with the support of some thirty civil society organizations.
The discussion brought together a large number of journalists, experts, activists, MPs, public officials, including Minister of Culture Violić Andrea Goldsmith, and responded to her and members of the HRT, the editors of HTV and HR with the absence of the Program Council Supervisory Board and HRT.
With the speakers / points: Zdenka Duku, Speaker of the Croatian Journalists' Association, Hrvoje Hribar, director of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and Sanju Sarnavka, president of the Board of HRH Zagreb discussion was moderated by Vesna Terselic, director of Documenta - Centre for Dealing with the past.
